The Capitol - Corfu town

Corfu ,who could resist Corfu ,it is a city which has old and new in a wonderful mix, romantic in looks with the properties lining the alleyways ,their balconies almost touching. Most of the properties are shops with apartments above them , villas and houses are usually found just outside the city. Corfu has an interesting history and the old wall which runs around the perimiter of the old city is awork of art, Many of the houses are Venitian in design . Yhere are numerous cafe,s and resturants, a really good time waster is to sit with a coffee and watch the world go by. I myself would choose to approach Corfu by the sea as it is really quite spectacular scenery. There are many historic things to see as well as ferries to the main land and Venice ,occasionally we get a cruise ship stay for the day. Whatever you choose to do a visit to the city is a must.
